Welcome to Issue #002 of RWA This Week. The Stories

DTCC Launch T-Minus Three Weeks — Testing Enters Final Phase

The DTCC's tokenized settlement infrastructure launch is approximately three weeks away. Working group members Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley, and Securitize have confirmed parallel settlement testing is running successfully across the Russell 1000 constituent securities that will form the initial launch scope. The transition from T+2 to T+0 atomic settlement — representing hundreds of billions in daily trading volume — will be the most significant structural change to US equity market infrastructure in decades. → Full DTCC coverage

Symbiotic Launches "Liquid Lane" — Instant Stablecoin Redemption for Tokenized Assets

Symbiotic — backed by Paradigm, Pantera, and Coinbase Ventures — launched Liquid Lane this week: a network allowing investors to redeem tokenized funds, private credit, and other RWAs for stablecoins almost instantly, rather than waiting through redemption windows that can stretch 90–180 days. "The RWA market has crossed $33 billion, but most of those assets still can't be redeemed on demand," co-founder Misha Putiatin told CoinDesk. The launch directly addresses the liquidity gap we covered this week in our DeFi composability analysis. Source: CoinDesk, June 2, 2026 →

Hong Kong Green Bond Program: Expanded 2024 Issuance Data Released

The HKMA released detailed data on the February 2024 HK$6 billion (~US$770M) digital green bond issuance, confirming multi-tranche structure across 2-year and 5-year maturities and a significantly broader institutional investor base than the 2023 debut. The data confirms that once blockchain bond infrastructure demonstrates reliability through one issuance, subsequent issuances attract meaningfully more institutional participation. → Full Hong Kong case study

SEC Releases Guidance on Tokenized Securities — Key Boundary Questions Clarified

The SEC's Division of Corporation Finance released a staff bulletin providing guidance on how existing securities law applies to tokenized securities. The guidance confirms tokens representing interests in investment contracts are securities subject to existing requirements. Crucially, tokens structured as pure payment instruments under the GENIUS Act framework are not securities — providing long-sought clarity on the stablecoin/security boundary that has held back several platform launches. → CLARITY Act coverage · GENIUS Act breakdown

Polygon Announces Expanded Institutional RWA Partnerships Ahead of DTCC Launch

Polygon Labs confirmed three additional institutional asset managers have committed to deploying tokenized fund structures on the Polygon network in H2 2026. The announcements are timed deliberately ahead of the DTCC launch: Polygon wants to be the infrastructure layer of record for institutional RWA at the moment the settlement infrastructure goes live. → Colin Butler profile

New RWAToday Series: DYOR in RWA — Why LinkedIn Beats Twitter for Due Diligence

We launched a new practitioner research series this week. Part 01 covers the single most underused tool in crypto research: LinkedIn. How to verify team credentials, track institutional career moves, find real practitioners instead of promoters, and build the research stack that actually works. Twitter tells you what people feel. LinkedIn tells you who they actually are. → Full article

Stat of the Week
180 days

The maximum redemption window on some tokenized private credit products — the problem Symbiotic's Liquid Lane directly targets. Compare that to T+2 settlement in public equities, or the T+0 the DTCC is launching in July. The liquidity infrastructure gap in RWA is closing, one product at a time.

What to Watch Next Week

DTCC go-live communications — with two weeks remaining, expect final participant documentation and readiness guidance. Any scope changes or delays flagged publicly will move markets immediately.

Bank stablecoin naming — multiple sources indicate at least one major US bank will formally name its planned stablecoin in June. First-mover naming rights in bank-issued stablecoins carry significant brand value.

Ondo Q2 data — June 30 ends Q2 2026. The first full quarter under Ian De Bode's leadership will be closely watched for any deviation from Allman-era growth trajectory.

Symbiotic Liquid Lane adoption — watch for the first major tokenized fund to announce Liquid Lane integration. The first name-brand fund to offer instant redemption will validate the product and likely trigger a wave of similar announcements.
